Booking and Cancellation·
- When booking the boat, on request from Celtic Charter, you will
be asked for a deposit to be paid within 14 days to secure your
booking. If a deposit is not received and there has been no other
communication regarding the booking within the 14 days Celtic
Charter may offer the dates to other customers. Any price quoted
may be subject to a variable fuel surcharge or should there be
any change in VAT regulations which affect the cost of any agreement
you will be notified in writing.
- Once the boat trip has been booked and the deposit paid the
balance will be due on the day of the trip. For a single day charter
the balance is due on the day. For multiple charters, the full
amount is payable at the end of each trip and the deposit is deducted
from the last payment. The agreed fee for the boat is the cost
of hiring the boat for a specified period and is payable regardless
of the number of passengers on board.
- Once the deposit has been paid if the charterer cancels a trip the deposit is forfeit and if it is within 4 weeks of the charter date the entire fee will be payable unless we are able to secure an alternative like priced charter for the same date.
- If Celtic Charter cancels the charter due to adverse weather
conditions, problems with the boat, illness or indisposition on
the skipper’s part, if possible, you will be notified in
advance and either an alternative date will be offered or any
deposit paid will be returned immediately. Celtic Charter does
not accept any responsibility for travelling or any other costs
incurred by individuals if the trip cannot take place on the day
booked.
- All charterers are requested to telephone Celtic Charter after
7.00 pm the evening before the trip to check for favourable weather
conditions. If after due consideration of various sources, shipping
forecast, inshore forecast, TV, internet etc, in the opinion of
the skipper, the conditions are not favourable for the following
day the trip may be cancelled and if possible an alternative date
will be offered or any deposit returned immediately. Celtic Charter
does not accept any responsibility for any expenses incurred by
individuals if trips have to be cancelled due to weather conditions.
- If deteriorating weather conditions cause an early return to
port, only that proportion of the trip spent at sea will be payable
at the hourly rate as set in our tariff, with any part of an hour
counting as 1 hour. Any decision to return early to port is the
skipper’s and any insistence of return by the anglers qualifies
as a complete trip and the full fee is payable.
- Trips to Smalls/Hats & Barrels/Shark/Wreck will be subject
to conditions on the day and we reserve the right to change the
destination if necessary and will reduce the fees accordingly.
The items above set out the terms and conditions
under which CELTIC WILDCAT may be chartered. The document forms
an agreement between CELTIC CHARTER (the owner) and the club or
individuals hiring the vessel (the charterer). Please keep for your
information.
